Recreational SUPing

Standup Paddle Boarding has become very popular for good reason. It gets you out on the water in a new and unusual way, and offers fitness benefits even if that is not your intention! The SUP Center at Idaho River Sports offers SUP rentals on Quinn's Pond for beginning SUPing, and we're hosting classes and trips on the Payette to get you started, refine your technique, and get you out on the water with others who enjoy this fascinating new sport.

Tuesday & Friday SUP Nites - sponsored by Glide, SUP Idaho and Idaho River Sports!

Accomplished paddler  Jimmy Smith of SUP Idaho and Jeff Banks of Glide Paddle Boards and the crew at the SUP Center at Idaho River Sports provide all equipment, introductory SUP paddling techniques and refreshments for only $25.00. The intro classes run from April thru September and sell out quickly, so make your reservations early!  To visit the Idaho River Sports calendar for details click here

Idaho Canoe/Kayak/SUP Club

For recreational paddling throughout Idaho, the Idaho Canoe Club offers recreational opportunities in a relaxed, no-host, casual environment. The Club was created by Jo and Stan of Idaho River Sports in 1989 and culimates each year with Hull-o-Ween on Quinn's Pond.

Year around there are full moon floats, potlucks, weekday Boise River floats and annual gatherings like the Saint Paddler's Day Float, Mother's Day Float, Deadwood Overnighter  and and more. For more information about the Club click here.
